This is a 20ft extension hose that could be used with any on-board, upright vacuum or canister vacuum. This can be used with the Miele vacuums with the purchase of an additional adaptor: 34663. It allows for the user to leave their vacuum at the bottom of the stairs, and with the use of the extension, reach all the way to the top stair without moving or carrying along the vacuum. In the garage it would allow you to reach the full interior of the car without moving the vacuum from side to side. For above the floor applications, like draperies, you avoid having to lift the vacuum from the floor or stretching the available hose to the limit, adding effort to the cleaning task. The fittings included accommodate vacuum products that use 32mm (1.25") tools and, through the use of the alternatives provided, 35mm (1.375") or Hoover accessories. It is important to know that with your Miele vacuum, you cannot use this tool to allow you to have a longer hose for using your non-electric powerhead or floor tool. It only works for attachments like the dust brush, upholstery or crevice tool, in the applications described above. This extension hose fits onto the hose handle of the vacuum, with an adaptor provided, instead of into the machine, so there is no hose handle at the end of the extension.
