M&S dmc1 Intercom System

The M&S dmc1 Music/Communication System Master is a music and intercom system for the home. The dmc1 is ideal for both new construction and upgrading 6-wire intercom systems. This unit will call throughout the home and patio with an optional door chime and front door speaker so you can answer the door from any room in your home. This intercom master station is designed to allow up to 15 room stations and 3 door speakers. 

With the dmc1 master intercom station for new construction, the room and patio stations connect to the master unit using standard Cat-5 cable. The dmc1R and the dmc1RS style room stations can select talk or listen to other room stations, door speakers and the master unit. These stations also have volume control built-in.  The M&S dmc1 intercom offers a privacy function that can be activated at each speaker.  This function keeps rooms from being monitored if privacy is a concern. The M&S dmc1RS room stations and dmc1RW patio stations have additional functions from the dmc1R.  These intercom stations can select the audio source, control the radio tuner, and set the master music volume.

ADDING MUSIC TO THE dmc1

With eight presets for both AM/FM radio built in and 2 separate audio inputs, the M&S dmc1 is a great option for music distribution. With the LCD backlight display, you can easily view all intercom controls.

When purchasing a M&S dmc1 master station intercom, there is an optional 6-disc CD changer, the dmc1CD. This CD changer is installed directly below the master station. The disc number and standard CD functions are all displayed on the master station LCD display.

The dmc1 can also be purchased to include an external built-in Mp3 connection. This installed connection will allow you to play all the playlists you have stored on your Ipod or mp3 player through your dmc1 intercom system.

The M&S dmc1 offers two main style room speakers.  The DMC1R are standard intercom room stations with call and volume functions. The DMC1RS are the same station with additional functions.  These speakers can select the audio source, scan through the radio stations, and control the dmc1 master station volume. The DMC1RW are patio stations and have all the same functions as the DMC1RS except it does not have a gate release function.

If you have a front door or gate that you would like to have remote door release, the DRW Door Release Mechanism.  This can be used from the master station or any room speaker. The dmc1 offers two different optional door chimes, a three-note Model MC3 or eight-note Model MC8

ROUGH IN HOUSING

For master unit rough in and finish-out components, order the Model dmc1H Wall Housing Kit to mount the dmc1 master. If the optional Model dmc1CD Add-on CD Changer is used, order the dmc1HC CD Combination Wall Housing Kit. 

When you are upgrading your older intercom system to the new M&S dmc1, you can add additional speakers to the new system.  All you need to do is purchase the proper room speaker from above, a dmcHR rough-in frame for new installation, and additional Cat-5 wire
