Important NuTone Information: The NuTone CT600 and CT650 powerheads have been manufactured to take 1 of 2 belt options. The options are a Geared Belt or a Poly-V Belt.

  • Powerheads manufactured between January 2006 and November 2008 take the Poly-V Belt.
  • Powerheads manufactured prior to January 2006 or manufactured after November 2008 take the Geared Belt.

If you are unsure which belt your NuTone CT600 or CT650 take, you will find a number on the underside of your powerhead to determine it.

  • If your model takes a Geared belt it will state NuTone #0518B
  • If your model takes a Poly-V Belt it will state NuTone #1012B

When you've finished your cleanup just put the hose back in the holster and your central vacuum automatically shuts off.

If you have a central vacuum, then you will be able to relate to the tremendous advantage of a hose sock. A central vacuum hose is constructed of ribbed material which can cause scratches, dents, chips and scuff marks on your walls and furniture. A hose sock covers the vacuum hose and provides a barrier between the ribbed hose material and your walls, making it impossible for the hose to cause any damage.
