The Lindhaus 500 is by far the largest and most powerful central vacuum power head on the market. With close to 20 inches of cleaning and suction, even the largest cleaning areas just got a whole lot smaller. The Lindhaus 500 electric power head is ideal for larger homes, as well as churches, restaurants, banquet areas, and more.

The wands are designed to fit either Recessed or Flush hoses

Take a look at the two main different types of electric handles; recessed and flushed. The powerhead on this page does not include wands. If you are not replacing this powerhead, then you may need to purchase wands with your powerhead.

The hose handles below are the two most popular styles. It is possible that you have something a little different. If you have any questions, please call our technical support staff to verify you're ordering the right wands. Some hoses are proprietary to their particular brand and we can advise you what you need.

Recessed Electric Hose Handle
	The recessed electric hose handle has the recessed cord management system as shown here. If you look just below the chrome piece, you will see a small recessed, white receptacle. This is a recessed electric hose handle. Recessed refers to the electric receptacle. If this is the type of hose you have, you can purchase either an: Upper wand with recessed cord management AND Lower wand OR Telescoping wand with recessed cord management
Flush Electric Hose Handle
	The flush electric hose handle has the flush cord management system as shown here. Just below the chrome piece you will see a small flush, white receptacle. Flush refers to the electric receptacle. If you have this type of hose handle, you can purchase either an: Upper wand with flush cord management AND Lower wand OR Telescoping Wand with flush cord management

More About Central Vacuum Powerheads and Other Accessories

If you have carpet in your home, the powerhead you use is important. A central vacuum powerhead can be either electric or air driven. If you compare the cost of a low end air driven powerhead to the top of the line electric powerhead, the price varies from about $40.00 to approximately $300.00.

If you have a substantial amount of carpeting, and/or pet hair, then an air driven powerhead is out. An air driven powerhead is ideal for a home with limited low pile carpeting or carpet traffic. The right electric powerhead can work on any pile carpeting no matter the dirt.

	Built-In Switch: If you have an old style electric hose, it may not have a switch on the handle. If your hose does not have a switch on the handle, then the powerhead needs to have a built-in switch, otherwise the powerhead will run continuously. Look at the PB11 powerhead if this is what you need.
	Quality: If you are tired of purchasing products that do not stand the test of time, then we encourage you to purchase one of the European designed powerheads. The Lindhaus and Wessel-Werk are both excellent choices. These two brands manufacture a high quality deep cleaning powerhead. 	Minimal Carpet: When your home does not have wall to wall carpeting or the rooms with carpet rarely used, an airdriven powerhead can be a great choice. An airdriven powerhead, like this TurboCat Zoom, can be used with any type of hose. An Airdriven powerhead runs off the suction of your vacuum.
