This Beam Classic II powerhead, manufactured by Electrolux, is the most economical of the Beam powerbrushes for your central vacuum system. With years of solid results, this BM1176 entered the market with a splash, showing up competitors and creating a buzz among central vacuum professionals. While many features of this powerhead are basic on new powerheads, this came as a breath of fresh air. Beam had created a simple and yet affordable powerhead for consumers looking for an easy, inexpensive solution for their vacuuming needs. With a front facing light, 2.1 Amps, plastic wheels, and a wooden rollerbrush, this powerhead is affordable yet efficient. You will be up and running again with the included upper and lower metal wands. The upper has cord management built in for your flush connection hose.

It has a full 12-inch wide cleaning path with self-adjusting height control for different carpet heights. An incandescent headlight illuminates your cleaning path. A foot pedal controls an easy handle release.  The powerhead uses a basic flat belt system. If you have carpet in your home, the powerhead you use is important. A central vacuum powerhead can be either electric or air driven. If you compare the cost of a low end air driven powerhead to the top of the line electric powerhead, the price varies from about $40.00 to approximately $300.00.

We own a hair salon and as you can imagine it is not easy to keep clean. After 4 years of constant use the Honeywell stopped working and I couldn't find a replacement.
