This is most expensive vacuum I've purchased ever....it is well worth the money. It is powerful, effective, and sturdy. Yes, it is relatively heavy, but I think of that as part of its cleaning power. Central Vacuum Stores had the best deal on it and have been wonderfully responsive to my email message regarding a question I had on the product.

I am very pleased with my Miele vacuum cleaner. Although I had been researching vacuums for awhile, when my old one suddenly died I almost ran out to the electronics store to buy the first one the clerk suggested. Luckily my husband slowed me down and convinced me to do some more research. I was already aware that Miele vacuums had a very loyal customer following, but my further research showed that the Miele tested exceptionally well in all categories including cleaning carpets. Surprisingly many other vacuums that rated highly weren't rated high for actually cleaning carpets. I then went to a vacuum store and tested the Miele. I loved it that instant. Being reluctant to pay the sales price though I continued to look at other vacuums. Finally, forced to make a decision since my carpet was getting dirtier by the day, I decided to purchase the Miele based on its reviews, ratings and my test drive. I was able to get the best price through the internet. I have been extremely happy with this vacuum. I was a once-a-week vacuumer before the Miele, but now I make up excuses to use it. It works wonderfully. It is true that this vacuum actually cleans so well that it cuts down the need to dust as often. I live on a dirt road and my house needs frequent dusting. Come to find out, that was mainly due to my old vacuum doing a lousy job. Since I've owned the Miele, my house is far less dusty. The Miele cleans deeply and I can actually hear it sucking up dirt from the carpet. I have older carpet, but the Miele cleans so well that it has lifted much of the matted pile making the carpet look much better. I wish I had purchased this vacuum years ago so that my carpet would be in better condition today. The Miele has been easy to operate. I love the swivel action which allows it to get in to hard to reach areas. Also since it is designed to operate in a lying-down position, it even cleans under furniture. I also have stopped using my broom and dust pan since the Miele does a much better job of cleaning my hard surface floors. The bag is easy to remove and replace when full. While I previously had a bagless vacuum, I do not miss dealing with the dirt and dust of emptying the container. I don't need to actually see the dirt to know that the Miele is doing its job. The fact that I have a full bag is proof to me that it is getting out years worth of dirt that my old vacuum left behind. I have recommended this vacuum to a friend whose expensive purple vacuum recently broke down. I love this vacuum and consider it as one of the best purchases I have made.
