The Miele Eclipse S4582 Canister Vacuum is designed for smooth flooring and low pile area rugs. We would not recommend this model if you have carpeting but would suggest you check out a model with a powerhead. The Miele S4582 Eclipse comes with the deluxe ergonomic handle. This handle takes the strain off your wrist when vacuuming.

The Miele S4582 Eclipse comes equipped with a cord winder and long cord for a wide operating radius.  No need to plug and unplug your machine as you move about your house.  Combined with the hose and wands you'll have an operating radius of 29 feet.
