Fakir, The Company

The Fakir company began in 1933 when Wilhelm Kicherer, the father of the present main shareholder Heinz Kicherer, founded a factory in the town of Muehlacker, Germany. The company grew and became a well-known name for high quality and innovative technology in the area of domestic appliances.

The variety and types of Fakir/nilco products have also been growing to meet the demands and the different requirements of private households and industrial customers. It includes electrical cleaning appliances of all kinds for household and industry such as vacuum cleaners, brush vacuum cleaners, floor polishers and wet cleaning appliances. In a second product section, electrical direct heating appliances such as fan heaters, rapid heaters, convectors, radiators and storage heaters are produced and marketed. The range is rounded off by a third product line consisting of cooling fans and air conditioners. Since 2003, innovative ironing boards and ironing stations complete the range.
