I wasn't sure if I would need these or not, when i purchased the replacement intercoms. I had old outdated NuTone "faces" in my 30+ year old home. Because they were so affordable, I purchased one for each of the new intercoms. It turns out that i didn't need them after all. No big deal.

I think Central Vacuum Stores did a nice job recommending these as a possible item you would need for installation. I would have been frustrated if I had gotten the intercoms and then could not install them without these "rough ins."
However, if you are renovating old Nutone intercoms, (simply replacing the "face") then you will not need these pieces.

Shipping is Free for orders over $60.00 to all 50 states with some exceptions; orders under $60.00 there is a $8.95 shipping and handling fee. We usually ship all orders by UPS ground shipping, but also use USPS (United States Postal Service) and drop shipping as well. Expedited Shipping is also available.
