This unit surpassed all my expectations upon installation. I'm not sure why anyone would choose a conventional vac when this one can out perform any I ever used before. Sorry I put off my purchase so long now.

Needed to replace discontinued CV-750 in 2-story 4000 sq ft home with full basement. We have many pets. Animal hair and cat litter would fill 750 bag in 2-3 weeks. The VX-550 would have been the nearest replacement, but decided to go for more power. Had some leftover pipe, recutting, adjusting, mounting and electric upgrade was under 3 hours. If your house is 4,000 sq ft or more go for the VX1000, you will be happy you spent the extra bucks plus longer warranty. If you have lots of pets get the bagless.
