InterVac Design Corp

InterVac Design Corp was founded in 1998 by Peter and Susan Schlapkohl. They believed that by controlling what goes into a product, they could produce the best product. At InterVac, they test all their products before they leave the factory and are constantly upgrading their technology. People told them it was impossible to build a compact central vacuum unit that would be inside a 2X4 stud wall but they did it.  They combined the features of traditional central vacuum units and canister and upright vacuums and produced the InterVac, a vacuum hybrid. They cater to a market where the traditional central vacuums that use piping are not cost effective such as condos, garages, apartments, etc.  Each InterVac unit cleans and area of 900 to 1300 square feet depending on the layout.
