The Vacu-Maid P110 central vacuum system is a pure cyclonic system. This means the cyclonic action created by the motor allows large heavy particles to fall into a dirt canister which is separated from the sealed motor. A small amount of dust is  exhausted outside, much like your clothes dryer. This means there are no traditional filters to clog or clean. It also means virtually 100% sustained cleaning power, because without the restriction of a dirty cloth, paper bag , or foam filter, you get more consistent cleaning power at the end of the hose. What is a Cyclonic Central Vacuum?

Pure cyclonic cleaning action is the most impressive way of filtering dirt. Heavy particles fall to the bottom of the dirt can and all the fine particles and allergens are exhausted outside. No traditional filters to clog or clean. No restriction by dirty cloth,  paper or foam filters so you get virtually 100% sustained cleaning power at the end of the lightweight hose. Net result? A cleaner house with longer carpet life and less professional cleaning.

With a cyclonic unit, you can achieve the most extensive cleaning possible. Once dirt and debris is swept up, it goes into the dirt canister where it swirls around like a cyclone, separating the large debris from the small. The cyclonic action allows the large debris to fall to the bottom of the dirt can while the fine particles are vented straight outside of your home. VacuMaid® cyclonic units also feature a patented Air Channel, which allows a plastic can liner to be used inside the dirt canister making emptying the can less hassle and less mess. With the Air Channel, you eliminate clouds of dust billowing up in your face when you empty the dirt can.

The power unit and dirt can are contained as one unit that is separated for emptying of the dirt canister. This unit can be stored in the garage or other location away from your central living area. It needs to be installed on an exterior wall and vented to the outside of your home since this is a cyclonic system meaning the lighter dirt and debris will be vented to the outside of your home.  These units are treated with special non-corrosive paints so they can remain rust-free even if installed in the humidity of a garage.
