Kudos to CV for offering, explaining, and promoting these adapters. Buying sch40 locally makes all the sense in the world and is better in every way than vacuum tubing. Be sure to consider sch 40 electrical conduit also, it is often cheaper than plumbing sch40 and offers reallllly long sweep 90's.

A great way to transition from vacuum pipe to more commonly available 2" sch 40 PVC. Makes installation easier for the DIY so I could just get the fittings needed from a local hardware store.

This piece enabled me to use an abandoned existing vent to exhaust my vac unit - very cool. I didn't end up using the standard plumbing tubing for the inlets as I'd originally thought due to the constrictive area I had to place the power unit, so I cannot say whether using Schedule 40 will improve the airflow. However, with this piece you at least have a viable option.

This adaptor made it dificult to install the inlet valve due to space between the drywalls. The drywall behind my inlet valves were closet space so I made a hole in the closet drywall directly behing the inlet valve to increase the clearance. Worked ok!

Great product, but don't go buying the expensive sch 40 pipe like they tell you. buy sch 125 or 160 and save your self some money. They are all the same sized pipe just thinner walled. and they are rated for 125 or 160 psi of water inside them so a vacuum is no problem
